DC Visit

We rested for 6 days from November 3-8 in Silver Spring, MD staying with family-thanks Chris and Bill!  Here’s a few of the photos we took while wandering around DC.

Not spelled right for us, but cute nonetheless

Washington Monument

Saw an interesting Warhol exhibit in the East Wing of the National Gallery

Looks like it's going to come to life

Occupy DC

We checked out a protest against the Keystone XL Pipeline led by fellow Vermonter Bill McKibben.  Everyone gathered to encircle the White House, they went around 1 and 1/2 times!

Pipeline replica marched through the crowd

Occupy Earth

Polar Bear love

The nature watching in Chris and Bill’s neighborhood in Silver Spring was quite exciting.  Every morning the deer would come through, usually a bunch of does with one giant buck.  We also saw a beautiful fox.  Urban wildlife at it’s finest.

The herd relaxing in the yard

The next post will bring us up to date with our travels from Silver Spring, MD into Virginia.  D+B
